# Governance & DAO

Karrier One is governed by the **Karrier DAO**, powered by KONE token holders.

#### DAO Highlights:

* Stake KONE to vote or delegate
* Propose policy or funding initiatives
* Participate in liquid democracy
* Earn staking + participation rewards

**Governance Pool:** 300M KONE over 50 years (3% decay/year, like device rewards).

The Karrier DAO ensures that no single company, small group of developers, or node operators have  influence or control over the network. This assures a truly decentralized governance structure that is integral to maintaining the democratic and secure nature of the network.
